The Heritage Foundation
2016-2018 - heritage.org
In the Summer of 2016, I was living in Europe for one more month and had no idea what my next step would be. After weeks of prayer, a college friend reached out with a crazy question. “Are you looking for a job?” Two interviews later I was on a flight to Washington DC to see if God really was offering what I hoped He was.
I still thank Him for two foundational years at The Heritage Foundation. Under the direct guidance of Melissa Bluey, one of the best Creative Directors I’ve ever known, I learned the basics of print design, branding, fundraising design, direct mail, offset printing, and so much more. I worked alongside a brilliant Senior Designer, Jay Simon, who I credit for my continued research into Adobe Indesign and my whole philosophy around print design.
Altogether, they were the most formative two years of my design career.
