Brand for brothers

The CFRs didn’t need my help. Their social platform has been turning heads for years with photo-journalistic posts like a brother carrying a life-sized cross through the streets of NYC or prayer in their chapel, not a pair of shoes in sight. All they needed was a direction, and I was so ready to help.


colors to match habits

I built their style guide around what they were already doing so well. Their threadbare grey habits worn with use and the austere, gritty nature of their content informed every shade and hue. Despite a primary palette of greys and neutrals, the secondary palette needed to accent material that needed emphasis. We chose reds to symbolize the Sacred Heart and Christ’s Passion and golds for the monstrance and Beatific Vision.

Photos First

The template for photo posts needed a light touch. No heavy shapes or arrows, just the blunt photos and minimal sentences. The way God intended.
